TVS Ronin 225 is now available in India.
The Indian manufacturer recently revealed its all-new motorcycle at the starting price of INR 1.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this, TVS also made its debut into the premium lifestyle segment.
After the successful release of the Ronin in a neighboring country, there are some hype and rumors going on in the Nepalese market regarding its pricing and launch date.
So, we will try to uncover whether this model will enter in Nepal or not. If yes, then what will be an expected cost. We will know about everything.

TVS Ronin 225 Overview
Ronin 225 is a brand new modern-retro motorcycle from an Indian manufacturer. According to TVS, it may serve as your all-purpose bike from city commuting, highway touring to trail riding.
Looks
In terms of looks, Ronin has noticeable styling elements of scrambler and a modern classic. The overall unique design seems to be inspired by multiple retro cruisers.
It is being marketed by TVS as an unidentified or a never-seen-before sort of motorcycle. Nevertheless, it is one good-looking bike that appears both attractive and appealing.
At the front section, there is a round LED headlight along with a T-shaped LED DRL. The large fuel tank provide TVS Ronin a muscular stance while a thin tail lamp give it that unique look.
This bike also looks visually ready to go off-road with the short fenders, thick engine guard, and dual-purpose tyres. Similarly, the chunky USD forks, brown leather seats and upswept exhaust are other design components.
The Ronin comes in three variants and each variant has two mono-tone, two dual-tone and two triple-tone paint shades. In total, it is available in six colors: Lightning Black, Magma Red, Stargaze Black, Delta Blue, Galactic Grey and Dawn Orange.
Performance
A newly-developed, 225cc, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine powers TVS Ronin. It delivers 20.4 PS of max power at 7,750 RPM along with 19.93 Nm of peak torque at 3,750 RPM.
Similarly, the fuel-injected motor comes with BS6-compliant emission norms. It also gets oil cooling system for better efficiency. As for starting mechanism, you only get electric starter.

The transmission duties are handled by a five-speed manual gearbox. An assist & slipper clutch also makes gear shifting smooth and easier. Furthermore, Ronin can hit a claimed top speed of 120km/h.
Dimensions
Talking of exterior dimensions, TVS Ronin is 2,040mm in length, 805mm in width, and 1,170mm in height. The bike is pretty light and weighs just 160kg in terms of kerb weight.
It gets a seat height of 795mm while the ground clearance is 181mm. Likewise, the wheelbase measures at 1357mm.
The large-looking fuel tank can hold up to 14 liters of petrol. Additionally, this motorcycle is capable of delivering the claimed mileage of 30 Kmpl.
Hardware
TVS Ronin 225 is built on a double cradle split synchro stiff frame. The suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD forks upfront and a 7-step preload adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear.
When it comes to braking, there is a 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brake. Furthermore, one has an option of single / dual-channel ABS as well.

The bike rides on 110mm wide front and 130mm wide rear tyres, both mounted on 17 inch alloy wheels. The tubeless tyres are dual purpose making them suitable for both on-road and off-road.

The Ronin costs INR 1.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards in the Indian market.
Taking that into consideration, the TVS Ronin price in Nepal is expected to exceed Rs. 5 lakhs. However, this is only a guess, and we'll have to wait for an official announcement.

Regarding the launch date, there is no any official information from TVS Nepal. Meanwhile, it is expected to debut by the end of 2022.
Since TVS has an assembly plant of in Nepal, there is even higher possibility to get our sights on the bike even early. Well, time will reveal everything.
As for competition, there won’t be any direct rival but it might compete with Honda CB 350RS, Jawa 42, and Royal Enfield Classic 350.
