Yatri P1 To Get Upgrade in 2023: More Range but Same Price!

Yatri has announced the updated 2023 P1 (project one) version will enter the Nepalese market soon. The upgrades will focus on enhancement in range and added features. Additionally, the company will bring this electric bike at the same price as before.

According to Batsal Pandey, CEO of Yatri motorcycle, this upgraded version of P1 will be available in the market in a few months. Interestingly, the company has also claimed that they will announce project two (P2) of the Yatri motorcycle in four months which is also going to be an electric scooter.

Looks

In terms of look, Yatri Project One is a dual-sport-styling motorcycle that is neither loud nor aggressive. It is also featured with a minimalistic and sleek design. At the front part, the bike acquired a classy round-shaped LED headlamp along with DRLs. Likewise, in the rear section, there are LED tail lamps with indicators. This motorcycle comes in a single color - white and black.

Dimensions

In terms of dimension, the weight and ground clearance of this motorcycle will be the same as before which is 120 kg and 320 mm respectively.

Performance

P1 has the same performance as before and comes equipped with a powerful motor that generates a 14kW (19hp) of peak power and a max torque of 480 Nm. It can reach a top speed of 100 Kmph. As a major update, the range of this motorcycle will be increased from 110 km to 200 km. 

In the context of the battery, it gets a 3.0kWh Lithium Manganese Oxide power unit which takes only 2 hours to get fully charged. Interestingly, it has fast charging which can charge up to 80% in just 40 minutes. And for further commitment, the batteries come with a 5 years warranty.

Hardware

Despite being an upgraded version, the hardware of this motorcycle will remain unchanged. Yatri P1 has 17-inch spoke wheels and tubeless tyres with 110/70 section upfront and 120/80 section at the rear. Interestingly, it also has upside-down forks and mono-shock suspension as before on both the front and rear sections respectively. On both ends, braking systems are handled by disc brakes. 

Features

Features are said to be upgraded but the company hasn't publicized what kind of changes they are going to do in this 2023 version of P1. We can surely hope that features are better than previous.

Pricing and variants

The price of Yatri P1 in Nepal starts at Rs 5.65 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 6.13 lakhs. Interestingly, the company claims that there won't be any change in pricing with new updates.
