Honda CB200X is now finally available in the Indian market. Honda 2 Wheelers India officially revealed the much-anticipated ADV via digital launch through their official YouTube channel.
The new Honda CB200X is an adventure tourer bike offered with limited off-roading capabilities. Since it is based on Hornet 2.0, it shares the same performance components and design with only minor modifications. As for competition, it will go head to head with Hero Xpulse 200.
Talking about the cost, the Honda CB200X price in India is fixed at INR 1,44,500. Furthermore, it comes in a single standard variant.
After the successful launch in India, there is sure to be a lot of interest about the latest Honda bike in the Nepalese market. However, before talking about the launch date and price in Nepal, let's dive into a quick overview of CB200X followed by features and specifications.
Honda CB200X Overview
Design
The CB200X has an urban-explorer styling inspired by its naked sibling, Hornet 2.0. The overall design looks muscular with aggressive lines and clean graphics across its body length. Additionally, the bike is available in three colors: Sports Red, Matte Selene Silver Metallic, and Pearl Nightstar Black.
At the front, this adventure tourer gets a full-LED V-shaped headlamp, raised handlebars, a tall black windscreen, and knuckle guards. Surprisingly, you will find the knuckle guards fascinating as they come with integrated LED turn indicators.
It also features a long and stylish split-step seat for comfort on long rides. Other design highlights include a new underbelly cowl, upswept exhaust, and pillion grab rails.
Engine
Honda CB200X is powered by the same 184.4cc BS6 engine as the Hornet 2.0 and has identical power and torque numbers. The engine is paired to a 5-speed transmission and produces 17.03 bhp at 8500 rpm and 16.1Nm at 6000 rpm.
The PGM-Fuel Injection technology delivers exceptional power and driveability, along with easier maintenance and repair, improved mileage, and lower emissions. A multi-plate wet clutch is also provided in this powertrain.
Suspensions and Brakes
Under the hood, the all-new CB200X is built on a diamond-shaped steel frame. The suspension units are similar to the naked sibling, with premium-looking golden upside-down (USD) forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear.
On other hand, the 276mm front disc with a two-piston Nissin calliper and the 220mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper handles braking duties. It also has a single-channel ABS as an extra safety feature.
The CB200X retains its 17-inch alloy wheels, but they now come in dual-purpose tubeless tyres. Meanwhile, the width/aspect ratio of front and rear tyres measure 110/70 and 140/70 respectively.
Dimensions
This lightweight tourer bike only weighs about 147kg and has a 12-liter fuel tank. Furthermore, it is 2035mm in length, 843mm in width, and 1248mm in height.
