Bajaj Chetak Upgrade for 2023: Premium Version!

Bajaj auto has updated its model chetak for this year. The company has announced the changes to this model with an increase in range and features.  This chetak model was unveiled as its first-ever electric scooter in 2021 which is now renovated and available in the Indian market.

Bajaj is the most popular two-wheeler brand in Nepal. Hansraj Hulaschand and Co. Pvt. Ltd, the authorized distributor of Bajaj in Nepal, has prepared to announce this new model of chetak very soon in the market. We can surely hope this model will launch before the New year 2080. 

Looks

As per the looks, it takes a little bit of design similar to Vespa. Bajaj Chetak gets a modern touch with a metal body and a two-tone seat. It comes with rear-view mirrors, a satin black grab rail, and an LED taillight that enhances the appearance of this scooter. Chetak electric scooter of the Premium Edition comes in three fresh colours: Matte Coarse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue, and Satin Black.

Performance

Moving toward the performance, it gets a BLDC motor of 4200 W that can help the scooter to reach a claimed top speed of 63 kmph and peak torque of 20 Nm. 

Chetak has an estimated range of 108 km with a lithium-ion battery which is increased by 18 km from the previous one. However, the battery and motor remain the same as in the previous version. As for this e-scooter, the charging time of this power unit is 5 hours.

Dimensions

Chetak has a length of 1890 mm, and a width of 725 mm. This features a wheelbase of 1300 mm and has a kerb weight of 133 kg. Moreover, it comes with a seat height of 760 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. This e-scooter delivers a claimed mileage of 90 kmpl. 

Hardware

It has 12-inch spoke wheels and tubeless tyres with a 90/90 section upfront and 90/100 section at the rear. Chetak has a combined braking system which is handled by disc and drum brakes at the front and rear parts respectively. There is a tubular single-sided suspension at the front and monoshock suspensions at rear tyre.

Features

In terms of features, it gets a reverse assist mode, regenerative braking, an onboard Intelligent Battery Management System (IBMS), DRLs, USB charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and many more. It has a proper digital dashboard that shows a speedometer, tripmeter, odometer, and tachometer.

 Pricing

In Indian showrooms, the price of this new version of chetak is at Rs 1.52 lakh which is hiked by 3,000 more than the previous model. Taking it into consideration, the price is estimated to be around Rs 2.43 Lakhs in Nepal.
