Yamaha R15 V3 BS6 got another price hike in Nepal. After its price revision back in January, the bike is now expensive by another Rs. 10,000.
Talking of the latest cost, Yamaha R15 V3 BS6 price in Nepal is set at Rs. 5,24,900. With this pricing, it also became the most premium 155cc bike in the Nepalese market.
R15 V3 is also one of the most popular fairing motorcycles among Nepalese youngsters. Interstingly, the BS6 model now comes with an updated engine, new interesting features and colours.
With that said, let's look closely at an updated Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 along with its features, specs, and availability.
Yamaha R15 V3 BS6 Overview
Yamaha R15 V3 is a next-generation 155cc Supersport motorcycle inheriting "Racing R-DNA”. Right from the first generation, this bike has set its own benchmark in every aspect compared to other motorcycles in the segment.
Looks
Yamaha hasn't interfered with the look of the new R15. It has sharp and edgy bodywork, like most Supersports bikes.
The front end has a more aggressive-looking headlight component, and the general body design is more muscular as well. Overall, the motorcycle appears proportional, and this is without a doubt the best-looking R15 to date.
While the styling on the Thunder Grey is comparable to the BS4 variant, the Racing Blue colour variant receives graphics updated, a silver strip, standard blue coloured wheels, and the R15 emblem plastered on the fairing. Additionally, it will be now available in new Metallic Red colour.

Performance
2021 R15 V3 is now BS6 compliant and the overall power output has decreased. In terms of performance, it now produces 18.6 PS of max power at 10,000rpm, compared to 19bhp in the BS4 variant.
Torque has also been reduced to 14.1Nm from 14.7Nm. However, the engine is much more powerful and refined than ever. 
It is still linked to the same six-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch. In addition, it gets Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) from the previous variant.
Dimensions
The Yamaha R15 V3 BS6 has dimensions of 1,990mm in length, 725mm in width, and 1,135mm in height. It features a 170mm ground clearance and a seat height of 815mm.
This motorcycle has a kerb weight of 142 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres. Furthermore, it offers a mileage of around 40-45 Kmpl.
Suspensions and Brakes
The new R15 V3 stands on the signature Deltabox frame. Suspension units include a 41mm conventional telescopic fork up front and an aluminium swingarm with a monocross link at the back.
Braking duties are handled by 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes with standard dual-channel ABS. Furthermore, the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 100/80 front and 140/70 rear radial tyres.

Features
Yamaha offers a few small yet important features in the BS6 R15 V3. This involves a 'side stand engine cut-off switch' which serves as a safety feature by preventing the motor from starting when the side stand is down. In addition, the bike now comes with a double horn and a radial tubeless rear tyre.

Yamaha R15 V3 Price in Nepal 2023
The Yamaha R15 V3 price in Nepal is Rs. 5,24,900 for the BS6 variant. Previously, the BS4 variant used to cost Rs. 4,96,900.
However, R15 V3 BS4 is no longer available in the Nepalese market. MAW Enterprises, the official distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal has finally discontinued it.
