The sole distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal, MAW Enterprises launched this bike in the Nepalese market last year. Finally, it now comes with the much-anticipated BS6 engine and Bluetooth Connect feature.
Additionally, the Japanese manufacturer has provided minor but interesting upgrades to this motorcycle, about which we will speak later.
With that said, let's look closely at the all-new FZS V3 FI along with its key features, specs, and availability.
Yamaha FZS V3 BS6 Overview
FZS V3, also known as the "Lord of the Streets" is a street naked bike from Yamaha. It is the third generation of the most popular FZ series and comes with muscular looks, refined performance and good fuel efficiency.
Looks
The Yamaha FZS V3 keeps its earlier style while the design is unique from other FZ models. It has an all-new LED headlight, shiny chrome plating, and a 3D emblem, giving it a premium appearance.
It is also beefier than the BS4 variant, with additional tank extensions. Other noticeable upgrades include a new LCD instrument console, a higher (by 22mm) handlebar, and a wider single-piece seat rather than the split unit.

Additionally, this bike is now available in four standard colors: Matte Red, Dark Matte Blue, Vintage Green, and a new Dark Knight variant.
Performance
FZS V3 is now powered by an all-new BS6-compliant 155cc, air-cooled, SOHC engine. It can generate 12.4 PS of max power at 7,250 rpm and peak torque of 13.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
When compared to the previous BS4 model, the power figures are somewhat lower. However, Yamaha claims that the engine has been optimized for better low-end performance and fuel efficiency.
The fuel-injected motor is connected to the same five-speed gearbox along with a wet multi-disc clutch. Moreover, it can also reach the claimed top speed of 115 Kmph.
Dimensions
The weight of the FZS V3 FI has been decreased by 2kg, and it now weighs 135kg. This should make it a bit easier to ride and a little quicker to accelerate.
The other dimensions stay the same, with a 165mm ground clearance, a 790mm seat height, and a 1335mm wheelbase. It features a 13-litre fuel tank and is claimed to get 45 Kmpl of mileage in real-world riding situations.
Hardware
FZS V3 BS6 still comes with the same hardware as the previous iteration. The suspension units include telescopic forks upfront and a 7-Step adjustable Monocross at the rear.
