FZ Version 2.0 is an oldest model of Yamaha's FZ series. With its excellent build quality, decent mileage and impressive performance, this bike still has a strong presence in the Nepalese market.

Yamaha  FZ V2 Design: The design and appearance of the Yamaha FZ V2 in 2024 may look outdated to some, yet it still seems compact and aggressive. It adopts the concept of 'Simple, Stylish and Sporty'. At the front, it gets a multi-reflector headlamp for better visibility at night, a mudguard, and a larger tire. The side part has striking graphics with a short muffler. It also comes with a long and split seat setup in the rear section. Likewise, there is aluminum handle grip bars that offer extra support to the pillion. The bike also has a multi-function instrument panel with a trip meter, speedometer, odometer, and tachometer. It comes in two different color schemes: Scorching Red and Panther Black.

Yamaha  FZ V2 Engine: The FZ V2 is powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, inline single-cylinder, SOHC engine. It is capable of generating 13.1 PS of max power at 8,000 rpm and ta orque of 12.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It also features Yamaha's Blue Core Fuel Injection (FI) technology that improves the overall performance and mileage of the bike by utilizing intelligent sensors, actuators, and an Engine Control Unit (ECU). Furthermore, the BS4-compliant engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox and can reach a top speed of 110 Kmph. You also get an electric self-start.

Yamaha  FZ V2 Mileage: The motorcycle also features a raised fuel tank with a capacity of 12 liters. Furthermore, it can get a mileage of about 45km per liter under real-world riding conditions.

Yamaha  FZ V2 Dimensions: FZ Version 2 weighs only 132 kg, making it even more responsive at early pickup and smooth acceleration. It also has a ground clearance of 160mm, a wheelbase of 1330mm, and a seat height of 790mm. 

Yamaha  FZ V2 Hardware: Moving towards hardware, FZ is built on a regular diamond chassis from Yamaha. When it comes to suspension, it has telescopic forks upfront and a monocross link in the rear section. It also features a large 267mm hydraulic front disc brake and a 130mm drum brake in the rear. Other internal hardware is identical to that of the FZS V2, however, the bike does lack ABS. The tubeless tyres are now puncture-resistant and have a new tread pattern. Furthermore, the broad tyres can grip the Nepalese road well and provide added stability.

Yamaha  FZ V2 Features: It has a Yamaha Fuel Injection (FI) Blue Core engine with smart sensors and actuators. The FI technology enables the distribution of the appropriate quantity of fuel based on the riding circumstances, which increases mileage and produces cleaner emissions.

Yamaha  FZ V2 Rivals: Talking about rivals, it competes against Bajaj Pulsar 150 TD and TVS Apache RTR 160 2V. Meanwhile, both bikes lack Fuel-injection technology which is available in FZ V2.
