Honda Dio BS6 is launching soon in Nepal.
Syakar Trading Company, the official distributor of Honda scooters, is planning to reveal an all-new Dio in the Nepalese market. Moreover, it will feature the most-anticipated BS6 engine along with new updates.
Talking of cost, Honda Dio BS6 price in Nepal is expected to be around Rs 2.50 Lakhs. As for the launch date, we will get into that later.
Interestingly, Dio will be the second BS6-compliant scooter in the Nepalese market from the Japanese manufacturer after the recently launched model, Honda Grazia.
With that said, let's see a complete overview of an upcoming Honda Dio followed by its key features and complete specifications.
Honda Dio Overview
Honda Dio is one of the best-selling scooters in Nepal. Moreover, it is known for its sporty design, reliable engine, and decent mileage.
Looks
While the Dio was already a sporty-looking scooter, Honda has made it sharper and edgier now. The new headlight and DRL configuration give it a beautiful clean appearance upfront. Additionally, there is a "Dio" badge on the side panel.
From the back, this scooty Iooks more appealing. It has an angular taillight and a sleek split grab rail at the rear. Furthermore, it comes with striking graphics.

The Honda Dio BS6 will be offered in two variants: standard and deluxe. There will be three colors available for the standard variant: Sports Red, Vibrant Orange, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
Similarly, the Deluxe variant will be available in four colors: Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic.
Performance
Honda Dio BS6 gets the same 109.51cc motor with a fan-cooled, single-cylinder architecture. The power figures stand at 7.76 PS and 8.9Nm, which are lower compared to the previous BS4 model.
However, the company claims that the engine now delivers power more smoothly and linearly. In addition, it now has a Programmed Fuel-Injection system instead of the old carbureted setup.
The performance, speed, and acceleration are some of the best in its segment. Talking about fuel efficiency, it gets a claimed mileage of 55 Kmpl with Honda Eco Technology (HET).
Moreover, the scooter also benefits from an ACG silent starter, engine kill switch, and side stand engine cut-off switch which is optional.
Dimensions
The Dio has dimensions of 1,808 mm in length, 723 mm in width, and 1,150 mm in height. The ground clearance is 160 mm while the kerb weight is measured at 105 kg.
Honda has also expanded the wheelbase to 1260 mm, giving the scooter additional stability. Furthermore, it gets a 5.3-litre fuel tank and an 18-litre under-seat storage compartment.
Hardware
The BS6 Honda Dio uses telescopic front forks and a 3-step adjustable spring loaded hydraulic type at the rear. When it comes to the wheels, it gets a bigger 12-inch tyre at the front while the rear continues to ride on a 10-inch tyre.

The braking setup remains the same 130 mm drum brakes on both wheels while a disc is not available even as an option. Additionally, there is a Combi Braking System as a safety feature.

The new generation Honda Dio comes with lots of unique and impressive features. Some of them include a fully digital instrument cluster with Eco Speed indicator (in Deluxe variant), 4-in-1 lock with a seat opening switch, and retractable pillion footstep.

Honda Dio Price in Nepal 2023
The Honda Dio scooter price in Nepal is Rs. 2,18,900 for the BS4 variant. Moreover, the BS6 variant is predicted to cost around Rs. 2,50,000.
However, this is just an estimated value and we will just have to wait until the launch for its official pricing.

As for the launch date, Honda Nepal has not revealed any information. Currently, the company brought this scooter as a test model and might reveal it around October considering the festive months.
